Come and discover the wines of Clos Troteligotte, from organic and biodynamic farming, and produced on an exceptional terroir of the Causse of the Cahors appellation. It’s a 19 hectare (49 acres) enclosed domain (Clos) perched on high-altitude. The vines are nestled in the heart of a woodland setting, a point of harmony between the Lot Valley and the limestone plateau (Causses) of Quercy Blanc. The first vines were planted in 1987. Emmanuel moved in following his father's footsteps in 2004, and continued his work around the emblematic grape variety of the appellation, Malbec, but also Merlot, Tannat, and several other varieties like chenin and jurançon noir, historic grape varieties from Quercy. A micro-plot selection was carried out within the Clos, with the identification of two main types of clay-limestone soils: one Kimmeridgian, the other siderolithic (very rich in iron). In the cellar, the vinifications are done naturally and without sulphite. In the vineyard, biodiversity is preserved thanks to beehives, agroforestry and eco-grazing.
