With the reopening of Chinese borders in spring, the 2023 CIIE hosted 3,486 exhibitors from 154 countries, a significant increase from 2,800 in 2022, drawing over 394,000 visitors. Agreements reached during this edition totaled $78 billion, signaling a robust recovery and growth for participating businesses.

Organized by Business France in Paris and China, with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, the French Pavilion showcased 11 French companies in the agri-food sector and wines and spirits under the 'Taste France' banner.

ProWine Shanghai's 10th edition, after multiple postponements due to health concerns, took place from November 8 to 10, 2023. The event saw 27,363 Chinese professional visitors and featured 660 exhibitors from 32 countries/regions.

The French Pavilion, a consistent participant since the fair's inception, once again stood out as the largest national pavilion, hosting 79 companies under the highly visible Taste France brand. They showcased both classic and innovative products, including still wines, sparkling wines, alcohol-free options, spirits, cans, and ready-to-drink beverages.

France has never before seen such successful figures for its wine exports. In 2022, a record turnover of 12.3 bn EUR was registered (+10.9% / 2021) for 14.0 Mhl of wine sold (-5% / 2021).

This accounts for almost one third of global exports value as France benefits from a shift in consumption habits to better quality wines, despite worldwide high inflation, the energy crisis caused by the conflict in Ukraine, and global supply chain disruptions.

Success of 3rd Food Experience Korea: "French Picnic" Edition

The 3rd edition of the Food Experience Korea event, themed "French Picnic" was a resounding success.  The event unfolded in multiple stages, featuring an exhibition of French food products for professionals, culinary workshops, a press demonstration and the award ceremony for the best baguette competition organized by partner Le Pain.

The exhibition showcased 9 exhibitors representing 13 French brands. It drew nearly 250 visitors from the F&B sector, including importers, distributors, chefs, pastry chefs, bakers, bars, hotels, industrial representatives, media, and influencers

Tastin’France 2023: Success in the Nordic Wine Scene

The 2023 Tastin’France event in Sweden and Finland marked a resounding success, hosting 34 French producers in Stockholm on November 6th and 32 in Helsinki on November 8th.

Stockholm set a record with over 200 industry professionals gathering at the Grand Hôtel's Vinterträdgården to sample wines, spotlighting the Rhône Valley. Helsinki witnessed the largest Tastin’France event yet, drawing 150 Finnish and Estonian visitors to the esteemed Valkoinen Sali, showcasing wines from the Loire Valley

ANUGA 2023: Remarkable French Pavilions at the Leading Agri-Food Exhibition!

The ANUGA trade fair stands as the pinnacle event in the agri-food sector, gathering professionals every two years. Following a challenging edition in 2021 amid complex health circumstances, the 2023 edition proved to be a resounding success for exhibitors, attracting nearly 140,000 industry professionals.

In this latest edition, food products were prominently showcased across six specialized halls: Bread & Bakery, Frozen, Drinks, Meat, Dairy, and Fine Food. A total of 168 French companies and 8 partner regions joined forces under the Taste France banner, occupying an impressive 2,700m² space!
